Seeking advice: at a meeting, a person who uses hearing aids tried to attend but was unable to because 4 of us were wearing opaque masks and she relies on reading lips. I tried to brainstorm possible solutions, including offering to transcribe by hand and asking if she used a signed language (no). We thought of getting clear masks in the future. She ended up just leaving and we sent her notes. :/ Wondering what y’all do to include d/Deaf/HoH folks in masked environments. #askFedi #accessibility
