@muddle@infosec.exchange I am not thinking of this from the point of view of my posts. I'm thinking of the health of the whole system. I think timelines would be more varied and discoverability would be better if there was a lot more boosting.

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world Again, I agree with you. For me, personally, I try to boost stuff beyond what's already featured on the trending/explore page of the web interface. I do that in a couple of ways. First, I try to go through my home feed and boost stuff that people I follow have posted. Second, I go through the live feed of my country-local server and boost some stuff there (including by people that I don't necessarily follow). I suppose that there's a third thing that I do less frequently, and that's to boost replies to popular posts if I think that the view is worth sharing. Mostly I'll just hit the favourite button in those cases, but sometimes there are cases where I think it's worth boosting.
