Some some advice from folks how about #APC #USP. I got a old #BX700U. When connecting power nothing happens, no LED no beeps. When pushing the front button regardlessly if long or short also nothing happens.
I've opened it and I'm measurung 0.52 V at the battery pins.
Before ordering a replacement battery what else can I check to validate the device itself is still ok and it's just a degraded battery pack inside? Any hints welcome. #fedihelp #followerpower

@darthvader42@sueden.social I did a quick check of the manual, and it has an error state where it signals a bad battery. This is discouraging. You could check if it emits any status if you disconnect a battery, then connect just some random 12v car battery for testing. Don’t worry about capacity or currents, the spec says it typically charges a battery within 6 hours, so it charges with about 1.5 amps. A powercord from a broken household appliance can be misued for this. Just make sure to connect battery last
