The version where someone in that room has a feeling they don't know what to do with and you become the place they put it.
Where your presence gets drafted into service the moment their discomfort needs somewhere to land.
Where the expectation isn't stated because it doesn't have to be.
It has always just been true that you would make this easier.
That you would receive what they were feeling and carry it long enough for them to feel less alone in it.

You have done this across decades, across rooms, across people who never once asked whether you had the capacity for it or what it cost you when you did. And now that the architecture has a name, something else is becoming possible that wasn't before. Not the anger. Not the exhaustion. Something older.
