To add some actual thoughts... I think one of the reasons this can feel impossible for me is that I think it has to start with education from a young age. General high level knowledge of operating systems, permissions, networking, and data should be considered a normal thing for a high school graduate. Obviously a well informed and equipped populace goes against capitalist goals so it can't happen in our system, which is why my brain breaks when I think about this.
