Thought experiment:
You're flying to Canada from somewhere outside the US. Your plane has a technical issue which means it needs to land at the nearest airport. This happens to be in the US. You're someone from outside the US and have no paperwork/visa allowing you to be in the US.
What happens?

@Niall@mastodon.nz Normally, I'd say this'd be covered by the 2nd freedom of the air, the freedom to make 'technical stop' without disembarking passengers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedoms_of_the_air Given the unlawfulness of the current U.S. regime however, I suppose you're essentially rolling dice (likely weighted dice depending on your skin color) and hoping for a favorable outcome. I wouldn't know the odds. Personally, I'm not going anywhere near that damned country anytime soon.
