@theolodian@mastodon.social I have no problems with rules and regulation in general. It is more the Germanic mindset to find reasons not to allow something instead of making it possible within the regulations.
I follow UK-politics a little because I used to live in London for some time and still have a bond to the country and people. I also see the problem with this socialist mindset. Again, no problem with a social mindset, people who need it have to be supported by society and it is ok to use taxes for it. My main problem with socialist thinking are those people love to spend other peoples money and instead of finding ways to reduce the spending, they increase the income side or stealing if you want to call it that. As long as this is possible socialism works, the moment the spending can't be meet the whole system collapses as history has shown.

@littlealex@infosec.exchange those UK regulations told us that we couldn’t replace our gas boiler with a heat pump. Companies now have to file accounts every 3 months. Wealth taxes are incoming. Median wages are under £40K. 40% of Brits don’t have more than £1K cash savings.
