@littlealex@infosec.exchange those UK regulations told us that we couldn’t replace our gas boiler with a heat pump. Companies now have to file accounts every 3 months. Wealth taxes are incoming. Median wages are under £40K. 40% of Brits don’t have more than £1K cash savings.

@theolodian@mastodon.social Yes, same here with the savings... Tax every three month is normal here, for many years I had to do it monthly. We don't have formal wealth tax but a progressive system. I pay 45% tax and additionally retirement, health and care insurance. All together well over 50%. In Norway, also a high tax country, I pay less and have more benefits. Here we have a mess with the heating regulations. The former government gave quite clear rules. No matter if you liked it or not, it was a clear path. Now they changed it to a more fuzzy ruling and this usually means more problems, because everybody is interpreting rules differently and it takes years for courts to clarify. All this made me to leave German economy and I will not invest anything anymore until this is back to a reasonable way.
