@megatronicthronbanks@mastodon.social @scottjenson@social.coop probably justified initially due to the limited space on earlier displays, of course “everyone knows what SAFELOCK™️ is” and then they’ve got used to the odd language structure and just kept it. I can see how this happens. I wonder what it means.

@scottjenson@social.coop @megatronicthronbanks@mastodon.social turns out it’s probably a good idea to know what this means: “The SAFELOCK mechanism deactivates the door opening levers if the vehicle has been locked. This makes it more difficult to break into the vehicle. The doors can no longer be opened from the inside.” That’s why it wants you to check everyone’s out of the car.
