I'm not sure if it's a flaw in this movie or a thing I missed, but I have no idea why the evil people want to laser open and scramble this orb.

On their errand of orb resuce, #Solarbabies rollerblade into a tunnel, escaping the guard dogs and then punch some human guards to get into the fortress, which they of course roller blade through. They find and rescue the bird guy while they're at it. #monsterdon
