I forgot to add this pic to my #ShezzaSpuds thread.
These little green globes are the (kinda poisonous) potato berries I found on the second plant I was harvesting.
I briefly toyed with keeping them for planting. And then I learnt they should have been riper before picking; and I’d need to soak them to release the seeds, plant them next year, harvest the spuds, and save the spuds to plant the year after to get any sort of harvest.
Think I’ll stick to chitting veg bag spuds next year.

@shezza_t@mastodon.ie I think that's how potato breeders work. Hungary is famous for it.
