If you simply cut down a Paulownia, it will resprout from all of its root suckers, and they can extend up to 50ft away. ☹️ You need to kill the whole tree, including the root system, by making slashes in the bark and treating it with herbicide. @nuintari@mastodon.bsd.cafe if the trunk is less than an inch in diameter, you could use a foliage spray instead. Either way, it may take multiple applications before it's fully dead, but at least you'll know it's not coming back.
