@FlockOfCats@famichiki.jp Exactly those things - bathing my kids, playing with water with them, reading the same books to them over and over, singing the same songs over and over - are some of my fondest memories of "quality time" with my kids.

@oz1sej@mastodon.online @FlockOfCats@famichiki.jp I mean, not everyone finds enjoyment or fulfillment in parenting. Leaving a job working with kids was one of the best things I ever did for my mental health. But the solution to that is, don't have children in the first place, let people who actually want the responsibility handle the continuation of the species, maybe be the generous auntie on occasion, because they *will* internalize your lack of interest as a personal failure.
