Finally watched The Amazing Digital Circus, and not only did I cry, but I honestly think this is the kind of art that can anchor us in times like this. It’s like Camus’ the Plague meets I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, and takes the ideas in both forward to a place that speaks to what we are going through right now. If you haven’t, watch the whole thing, especially the last two episodes.

Also, I think I related to Kinger and Zooble best, which was interesting. I don’t always find masculine characters like Kinger as relatable, but seeing someone who is mentally ill and struggles, but is valued by friends and seen as a meaningful part of a community…fuck, that is me and it means a lot to see that. And Zooble because, yeah, queer dyke who is frustrated they can’t have sex and grumpy because this shit is fucked up. And just straight up checks out when they are fed up. And loves an anxious goof that has such a creative and genuine heart and mind. Very relatable.
