I'll be in #Nashville July 20th–July 31st helping with the final stages of a physical network deployment. My hotel and the deployment site are both near the airport, so I'm only anticipating having time over the weekend (the 24th/25th/26th) to get to the more interesting parts of the city.
I'd love recommendations on venues and/or activities. I tend to go for speakeasy-type spots — quiet places with character and possibly a good cocktail or two. Loud and crowded is usually *not* my scene, though I can grin and bear it if there's something worth seeing or doing.
And if any of y'all will be in the area, maybe for #SharkFest26, I'd love to try to connect!

Checked out The Lipstick Lounge yesterday evening, and I'd absolutely recommend it for other folks in Nashville looking for a queer-friendly/trans-friendly space: https://thelipsticklounge.com/ I struck up so many wonderful conversations with folks, and the people-watching is top tier (especially when karaoke kicks off). It's definitely louder than I'd normally go for, but nothing attenuating earplugs couldn't fix. And after being at a construction site all week and sticking out like a sore thumb most places, it was nice to feel in my element for an evening. ☺️ Planning to kick around Nashville proper this afternoon/evening to check out a couple of recommendations.
