@grmpyprogrammer@yac.grumpy-learning.com The only* thing web-native about JS/TS is the fact that it was designed to run in the browser. Python and PHP are backend-native. Go/Rust have the advantage of being fast af due to being compiled rather than runtime-interpreted. I think this also helps people deploy them? I don't know anything about zig. (* needless pedantry; it's still powerful and mostly a fine choice for BE)
