Apparently WhatsApp lets you in half the time when that happens
(I closed the app, opened it again and was asked for the PIN; I closed it again, opened it and wasn’t asked; closed it, opened it yet again and was asked for the PIN)

@GuillaumeRossolini@infosec.exchange I think that the PIN request is akin to a reminder, you have to input every know and then so you don't forget it. Its main function is supposed to be a registration lock.
