The #SanDiego Grand Jury interviewed the County Medical Examiner this year about jail deaths. Their report quotes the ME as saying "identifying the cause of death becomes difficult when resources are scarce, and conditions like excited delirium ... are possible." EXCITED DELIRIUM IS NOT POSSIBLE because it is a made up condition used to justify excessive force against Black people by law enforcement Cannot believe the San Diego ME is falling for such shit in 2026

Neither the #SanDiego Medical Examiner nor the Grand Jury have email addresses! I had to write actual letters to complain. I don't even remember how to layout a letter anymore BTW the National Association of Medical Examiners does not recognize excited delirium as a condition. And California has banned its use by medical examiners since 2023 Livid, I'm absolutely livid
