Seems I have three basic paths forward: 1. Continue looking for a PAPR unit, stick to PAPR stroller plan 2. Throw a tiny HEPA filter in my existing stroller and call it a day 3. Buy a double stroller and use the empty seat to hold a larger HEPA filter (2) Is the cheapest but I have the least confidence in its effectiveness.

@skyfaller@jawns.club If you have a CO2 monitor, I'd suggest doing some testing with an existing hepa filter or any relevant filter and a fan setup. I don't think there's any reason a PAPR couldn't be made with low cost materials. I bet the reason for the high price point is the most common use case being in industries with money to burn and no time to bother checking the efficacy of a thing themselves. The only part that I suspect might be a point to sink more money into is a fan that isn't too loud while still having good flow rate/pressure drop
