@skyfaller@jawns.club If you have a CO2 monitor, I'd suggest doing some testing with an existing hepa filter or any relevant filter and a fan setup. I don't think there's any reason a PAPR couldn't be made with low cost materials. I bet the reason for the high price point is the most common use case being in industries with money to burn and no time to bother checking the efficacy of a thing themselves. The only part that I suspect might be a point to sink more money into is a fan that isn't too loud while still having good flow rate/pressure drop
