You can imagine walking away from Omelas all you want, but if you couldn't imagine it before the author has to make it "believable" for you and you can't imagine where those that walk away will go, then there is no point in walking away. You'll just make another place you can believe in again. It certainly won't be better if events there don't take COVID percausions.
