We're Going to Make Out Like Bandits https://www.rocketpoweredjetpants.com/2026/04/were-going-to-make-out-like-bandits/ <- Why AI is _good_ news for skilled programmers. This is hilarious – & probably right.

@lproven@social.vivaldi.net The assumption here is that companies care about architecture and technical debt. Most care about getting a product out the door and keeping it working well enough that customers keep using it. Technical debt cleanup, good architecture, lack of duplication, etc are all things to enable human developers to function effectively. LLMs don’t complain about bad code, they just keep chugging through it. The context window problem will be overcome by summarizing and delegating to subtasks. It’s still cheaper than paying us to fix it.

@lproven@social.vivaldi.net Even accounting for satire, I find this article in exceedingly poor taste. :/ This kind of "we're ok as long as I'm ok" thinking is the root cause of so much misery.
