Why is it taking so long for them to start Luigi Mangione's trial? Are they having trouble finding twelve people who haven't had awful experiences with the US health insurance system?

@beecycling@wandering.shop Partially, yeah. Also the actual arrest was a complete clown show and the defense keeps saying this or that piece of evidence isn't valid (correctly, even if one assumes thay any evidence touched by police is valid and that they regularly tell the truth), so that slows things down too. Also (I can't prove this part), the Powers that Be know they can't possibly convict in anything that can pass for a fair trial, and are afraid of the outcomes of him getting off and him getting blatantly railroaded.
