@Crazypedia@pagan.plus Bokashi buckets are one potential option but I'm not an expert -- something to look up.
Another option to ensure you have enough stuff to keep the heap alive is to pool with neighbors or see if a local community garden would take some & share some of their output with you?

@Crazypedia@pagan.plus iirc the biggest blocker for "small" scale composting is that you need enough mass for the heap to heat up inside and support the kind of thermophiles needed to break down the stuff safely. Definitely you could get lots of anaerobic fungal breakdown stuff in a closed container (Bokashi uses a specific fermentation process so it's a bit different) but it might not be safe to grow veg in
