@ascentale@sfba.social @rasterweb@mastodon.social @bikenite@fedigroups.social First, make sure all parts are clean, undamaged, properly installed, aligned, torqued to specs, and adjusted for proper clearance.
Then, if necessary, bed the brakes in with several short hard stops in succession. This isn't always necessary, but it can improve brake system performance. Usually, simply riding and braking normally is sufficient, with the understanding that initial braking performance may be reduced until they bed in well.
