"Rightful Prince" stories bug the hell out of me Give me a delulu prince who's just gonna make everything worse and is surrounded by self-interested asshats. Gimme a treacherous eunuch who starts out wanting to make a positive difference but ends up so deeply compromised by the necessities of power that he forgets who he is Better yet, make a story about one of the many many people I've been saving up in a list as deserving a story based off them. Joseph Beyrle. The pirate Queen. Any of a number of Jesters, or something beautiful stitching together jesters across time and connecting it to our hyper-sensitive oligarchs who can't deal with twitter critique (as opposed to one of the few individually impressive great men in history like Napoleon)
