What if, instead of complaining about the amounts of vibe code getting into open source projects, people stopped working on and maintaining them? Why not just apply a general strike to it? Accept nothing! Push no code! Let the security holes fester! If it needs fixing, let them handle it and watch it bite them in the ass. I feel this is more effective than whining on the internet.
