10 years ago, I bought a second hand ev. It was 4 years old and had massively depreciated. I planned to use it as a runabout, for trips to the airport, shops etc for a year or two until the battery gave out. Yesterday 3 of us did a comfortable air conditioned 35 mile trip in it, parked it on a charger, did our errands, had lunch and tootled back an additional 35 motorway miles. The range is 20% down on what it was when I got it, but still useful. One of my best investments :-)
