I am pleased to report that the air is considerably less chunky today. We’ve improved to a “moderate” AQI reading of 89, and the air quality alert has been cancelled for SE Michigan. It sounds as if the plume may return overnight or tomorrow, so I think I’ll do some outdoor things today while the breathing is decent. July 18, 2026.
