@yoasif@mastodon.social @joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech yes! it's a self-refuting argument. If using the AI teleports you past any skill hurdle, ask the AI how best to use itself and instantly "catch up" for free while all the early adopters spent time like suckers.
(I don't agree with the premise that it substitutes for skill, but belief in that premise is a prerequisite to the "left behind" argument)

@ferrix@mastodon.online @yoasif@mastodon.social @joepie91@fedi.slightly.tech I teach French and it makes the kids skill worse at French. It’s not very helpful in classroom language learning imho as an educator. Going to be using paper more this upcoming year in my classrooms.
