@bjn@mstdn.social @ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club agile and especially scrum was definitely a trend at some point that was overhyped and taken from the hands of non-software-engineers at companies, in order to push content on LinkedIn. So there is that.
Some of the agile methodology helped organising the work in team and AI kills team work by having a lot of people run in all directions and do 10 PRs a day with more than 3k loc just "because 100x devs". Cowboy devs are back in trends which mean that at some point, bringing back some team methodology may not be a bad idea till we make sure it's not again because some people found a new trend to sell to companies.

@kaneel@mas.to @ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club Scrum is a rigid process that is distinctly anti-Agile, and Agile is not all that in the first place and is only narrowly applicable to certain domains.
