@albertcardona@mathstodon.xyz @neuralreckoning@neuromatch.social In the posts I saw, he said he wrote the piece himself and just used ChatGPT to get the links to the references, which he then checked himself and the copy editors also checked. (People "caught" him because the left the ChatGPT tracking links in the URLs.) The people I've seen piling on in the comments didn't seem to understand the difference between using ChatGPT as a way to find web pages and using it for original research.
