It is only money, I suppose.
It is one way to get to know each other and develop a relationship, and I guess spending will slow down after a while once the relationship is no longer novel.
Though it could then be coffees and cakes instead of clothes.

@Maker_of_Things@cupoftea.social Indeed. My wardrobe has been in need of a major refresh for a while. I just wasn’t expecting to refresh it with more expensive brands! But as you say, it’s only money. 😎😇
