I do need to figure out an alternative to GitHub. Might look into Forgejo for that. 👀
Mail is a tough one for me. I think I might stick to hosted mail to ensure uptime, and so I don't have to worry about security and whether my server is set up properly for anti-spam (both for incoming mail and how other servers perceive mail coming from mine).

@apparition@mastodon.world Those are all reasons why I'm sticking with my paid for hosted mail solutions. Even with all the supposed mail + DNS stuff configured, I still get reports of some (mostly gmail) providers just not passing mail to the hosted services. But from everyone, just some people. No explanation found. That being said, it's notoriously difficult to get a Google service to voluntarily acknowledge an error, let alone an error message or code. Doubly so when it's being done on someone else's device and they are a self described Non-Technical person.
