@aurynn@cloudisland.nz also using iTerm2, looking to see what the recommendations are (before that I was using rxvt in X11, which was in retrospect was certainly a choice)

@aurynn@cloudisland.nz I’m a week into a clean Tahoe install and a new life goal to stop fighting with computers. Terminal.app is good now, especially if you add fish, starship, and catppuccin.

@aurynn@cloudisland.nz I’ve been using ghostty for the last while, but I’m not sure what it is actually doing for me, that normal terminal does. Probably just going to go back to terminal.app it never really hurt my feelings enough to care about alternatives..

@aurynn@cloudisland.nz I use ghostty and vastly prefer it to kitty and iterm2 — much faster. Mitchell Hashimoto wrote fully native versions of ghostty for every platform. He’s on mastodon and posts about his continued efforts to improve its performance. I didn’t try alacrity but I hear good things about it from other people who value similar things in an emulator
