@bkahn@beige.party This may have absolutely nothing to do with the experience that you're having with your smoke detector, B, but one time I had a detector that would start chirping even with brand new batteries. A search of teh internets suggested blowing the device out with a good blast of air -- or a few. My initial reaction wuz, "this is some Ai-generated bullshit"! But I tried it anyway, and, not gonna lie, it worked. Your mileage may vary, but since you're waiting anyway, feel free to try it, if you wish.
