**Ableton Live 12 Linux Compatibility update** **New release: 2026.07.17.2** Changes: - WineASIO replaced with PipeASIO, a native PipeWire ASIO driver. - Hardware inputs arrive as separate channels, Live can record from any PipeWire source, and the buffer size stays locked at 256 frames. Driver settings live in ~/.config/pipeasio/config.ini. - Live now idles at about 2 to 5 percent CPU, dropping the baseline CPU usage by like 75% - Theme regressions fixed. Live follows the system light/dark scheme again. - Webview corruption in the Learn View fixed. - The installer can now update in place. Live, your settings, and your license are kept. Install: 1. Download https://github.com/shibco/ableton-linux/releases/latest/download/install-ableton-latest.run 2. Put your Ableton Live zip from ableton.com next to it. 3. Run: `sh install-ableton-latest.run` Update an existing install: 1. Download https://github.com/shibco/ableton-linux/releases/latest/download/install-ableton-latest.run 2.
