Thought experiment.
Linus tells us that the #Linux project uses #opensource because it results in "better technology".
Does that mean that if some superior closed source kernel sources became available Linux would merge it? Clearly, since Linux has never been a "social warrior" project, it shouldn't matter if the code is pirated, since technical merit is paramount.
If we say no, how is that different from using copyright encumbered #LLM sources?
