Besides the passenger rights refund, I should really charge OEBB a service fee for acting as a travel advisor to half a dozen fellow sufferers.
The OEBB travel center at Vienna Hbf doesn’t open till six a.m. It had 30 people standing in line an hour before that 😬

By the time the OEBB info center opened at 6am, with the line still somewhat impacted, there were about 150 people waiting. I just hopped the next IC towards Poland, and am now well on my way through the Czech Republic, which looks nice, if somewhat modest in terms of landscape.
