Imagine if in the 1950's some guy was like "Hey we invented a new factory widget that costs more in electricity to run than it produces in value!"
His boss would be like "shut that shit down immediately, what is wrong with you?"
Now today we're like "it's innovation! Look at how much power it's using!"
