@Darkphoenix@universeodon.com @Quasit@beige.party @BrentToderian@mastodon.online I was a kid when smog alerts were a big thing in San Jose. Then California really made an effort to clean up the air, just in time for climate-accelerated fires.

There were so many news stories about the environment that sounded like the end of the world, and now that the end of the world is actually coming nobody seems to be willing to do anything about it. Remember acid rain?
