To me, that's completely baffling. Are shadows normally hotter than their surroundings?
Then again, I live close to places where people cover parking lots in solar panels, so their shade structure can be dual-purpose.

@hexamander@infosec.exchange I am completely baffled by this as well. If you put something up that blocks the sun, like a beach umbrella, how does it make it hotter underneath?
