@tomwsmf@mastodon.social - That's an interesting take on something that is absolutely no longer a personal project at all.
I imagine we could debate plenty of topics around the concepts of:
- When a creator allows others to work on a project its no longer theirs alone
- How FOSS is democratized
- When a userbase and business use cases are so thoroughly saturated into the world that it affects so much of a person's life without their consent (think of what all Linux is used to run everything from key aspects of cars, to your TV, your phone, etc) that a person has human rights in regards to what controls their lives.
Heck, we can discuss "death of an author" here and everything.
So... no. You're silly.

@tinker@infosec.exchange I am not above being silly, even in an edit:) I take your points of scale and scope. The parts where we don't agree, hopefully we do the thesis/antithesis/synthesis dance and came out of it better beings. So given what is in play, where next? Is this a Notch/Mojang situation where in the driving force exits stage left? Is this a WhenInTheCourseOf... situation where in a one thing becomes two? Wherever things wind up Im in for the ride.
