I’ll start being part of such a network in Switzerland soon. I am thinking what is the next step: switching such a network to Reticulum to make it more versatile? But my understanding of the topic and tech is quite limited.

@lorenz@c.im We're a relatively flat country, as you must be aware :-) That makes RF visibility easier. Mountains make line of sight more difficult. Antennas with much power (like those >10dBi) make the spread of the signal narrower, therefor ensure further reach. Antennas with less power have a spread that is large, meaning their reach is not that far but can be seen by more local devices. Have a look at https://meshcore.io for more info #MeshCore @everton137@social.vivaldi.net @vaurora@mstdn.social @ccc @vgrass@chaos.social @freifunk@social.freifunk.net @digiges@chaos.social @cbase@chaos.social @freifunk_berlin@chaos.social
