@tante@tldr.nettime.org Well, I think you are forgetting the exploitation of human labour in lower developed countries, without any responsibility regarding psychological health when it comes to filtering violence,… Most well known papers have written about it, but this problem just faded. I am not a sociologist but this is kinda new way of colonisation, just without military power – only economically.

@blackDragonfly@techhub.social @tante@tldr.nettime.org absolutely this. I find people often neglect to mention this when discussing the negatives and it's such a huge one. Not just the exploitative (extremely low pay) labour but the seriously traumatic nature of it, often with zero support for what people go through after reviewing the very worst of the Internet and what these models spit out while they're being trained. It's abhorrent. All so a bunch of (mostly white) people in richer countries can push out slop and trashy code. What a nightmare #noToAI #noGenAI #genAIslop

@blackDragonfly@techhub.social I did not write that article, I just shared it. And most articles will focus on certain harms because always addressing every way in which "Aai" makes the world worse is just too much
