@tubsta@social.bsdlab.au Regardless of stratum, if clients were configured to be using all 3 servers, shouldn't they have preferred the 2 good ones and ignored the bad 1?

@phs@aus.social Depends on the underlying code. Network kit typically wouldn't have these smarts, it isn't their core function. The skew on these would have been horrendous. The NTP server "shouldn't" have been answering NTP queries until validation had been met (constraint tolerance, GPS, Atomic alignment).
