Emotional evening at the vigil. I'm glad the Mayor decided to show up in front of a crowd full of people who are NOT happy with her, but I was not impressed by her failure to own her responsibility in delaying life-saving work at the site where Louisa was killed.
Saying that the City is going to make a study of how to make the area more safe feels a bit insulting without acknowledging that this was already done. The time for study has come and passed, the time for action is now.

The other members of the City workforce in attendance made it clear how much they have been trying their best to do their life-saving work under a hostile administration, without compromising the bounds of professionalism. Impressive. I would be openly furious, personally. I bet they're furious too, but… yea, impressive.
