I was telling my 15-year-old child about the grass-carrying wasp who came BACK to my dome and is now building a different nest in a different pipe a few feet from the one I removed.
Said child just said, "Cover your holes, father" as she walked away.

She is dyeing her hair tonight ("fox tips?"). She just came down with stripes of foil folded around a dozen hair bits. I said "I like your shiny sci-fi hair decorations." She replied, "Thanks, they protect me from the aliens." "Shouldn't you cover your whole head?" "Oh, they can have my brain. I'm more concerned about my hair."
