@darkuncle@infosec.exchange @cmccullough@polymaths.social @nixCraft@mastodon.social How techy do you have to be to install and use BSD? My Linux Mint install turned out to be complicated, because my laptop is old; I only managed it because of Fedi help but have been happy with it. If it’s that hard or harder to switch, it’d be a tough move for me.

@superball@norcal.social @cmccullough@polymaths.social @nixCraft@mastodon.social it's pretty easy these days :) OpenBSD has long been my favorite but FreeBSD is the granddaddy of the variants. I have heard good things about DragonflyBSD but it's more niche.
