#Poland published details of charges against a citizen of #Ukraine recruited by #Russia security services who very actively engaged in disintegration campaigns and prepared an actual kinetic attack using an assault drone: According to the findings of the investigation, the defendant was active from November 2024 to August 2025 in Warsaw, Wrocław and other towns. He was given tasks by an unidentified person via an instant messaging service. He documented the completion of each task with photographs. Inscriptions and symbols glorifying the activities of the UPA were placed, amongst other places, on the Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto, the ‘Volhynia Massacre’ Monument in Domostawa, the monument commemorating the Polish population murdered by the OUN and UPA in Wrocław, as well as on the buildings of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. The actions of the defendant and his principals, carried out on behalf of a foreign intelligence service, were intended to incite hatred on ethnic grounds, deepen antagonisms between Poles and Ukrainians, provoke social unrest and create a sense of helplessness amongst state authorities. The final charge relates to the preparation of a sabotage operation during the parade to mark Polish Armed Forces Day, scheduled for 15 August 2025 in Warsaw. Illia K. was preparing to fly an unmanned aerial vehicle over the vehicle in which the President of the Republic of Poland was to be travelling during the parade. Among other things, the defendant agreed on the type of device, the costs and method of financing its purchase, the method of carrying out the task, the means of confirming its completion, and measures to minimise the risk of detection. He also searched for offers to purchase a drone and for information regarding the parade route in the Wisłostrada area.
